Job Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Inspector to be responsible for dimensionally inspecting machined components to blueprint dimensions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on machined parts
- Prepare inspection reports from drawings, customer and engineering specifications
- Coordinate inspections with Production Managers and Engineering team
- Ensure all required inspection report documentation is accurately completed and compiled
- Ability to verify gages are in calibration
- Maintain safe working environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Requirements:
- Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
- High school education preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in metrology lab
- Ability to efficiently use the majority of the following tools: bore gages, gage blocks, Pi tapes, ultrasonic thickness gage, optical comparator, sine plate, precision square, hardness tester, paint thickness gage, Micro-Hite (advance functions), angle plates (right angle and thread), thread gages, thread wires, inside and outside micrometers, Coordinating Measuring Machine (CMM-advanced functions), and profilometer
- Working knowledge of ISO and AS9100 Quality Management Systems
- Excellent knowledge of GD&T of blueprint reading
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and Solidworks a plus
- Knowledge and familiarity working in a fast-paced machine shop environment
- Excellent math skills, especially algebra and trigonometry
